Prepares journal entries (monthly and year-end) for special programs ledger. Continuously monitors budget reports, identifying significant variations, and reporting these to the Director of Business Services. Reconciles special programs balance sheet accounts monthly, including accounts payable to detail list. Prepares budget adjustments as necessary for Board approval. Insures that reimbursement reports prepared by Special Education, Federal Programs, and other departments are made in a timely manner and are reconciled to the general ledger. Assists with preparation of the annual budget. Makes recommendations to update standard accounting procedures. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Business Services. JOB SPECIFICATIONS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelors Degree in either Accounting or Finance and at least one year of accounting/finance experience or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
